Visual FX & Layers is all about graphic design, abstractions, typography, juxtapositions using photography as a base.

Create with distortions, multiple app stacking effects, anything to create something entirely more than just a photograph. The endless stream of high quality creative apps have made mobile phones a marvelous tool for compositing and mixing images.This is where photographs become the starting point for an entirely new kind of picture, limited only by your imagination.

The Visual FX category will award a winner based on the outstanding use of apps to create photo manipulations. Some guidelines for this category include using the elements of photography, graphic design, typography, digital painting, masking, layering, and collage.
